Eminem Stronger Than I Was lyrics

I had low expectations of Sofia as a city, but after hiking, I absolutely loved the place. It was an easy city to wander, and it was beautiful—despite its ugly, brutal, and strong communist-era buildings. When you enter the city, Sofia’s facade is quite average, but once you lose yourself in the old town area, everything changes.

Clothes can change your mood and confidence. Fashion moves so quickly that, unless you have a strong perspective, you can lose integrity. I like to be real. I don’t like things to be staged or fussed over. I think I would go mad if I didn’t have a place to escape. You have to stay true to your heritage; that’s your brand.

Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is undergoing a modern renaissance, becoming a dynamic hub for tech, startups, and culture. The city has a rich history, reflected in its Roman ruins, Byzantine, Ottoman, and European architecture.

We woke up late after an evening of feasting and free-flowing wine. After gathering ourselves and our belongings, we headed to our homestay family’s small dining room for breakfast.

With freshness, it was expected to capture a beautiful picture, just like from Lara Stone. We traveled towards the Rila Mountains, where we visited the Rila Monastery and enjoyed scrambled eggs, toast, mekitsi, local jam, and peppermint tea. We wandered the site with other tourists. Yet, strangely, the place didn’t feel crowded.

I’m not sure if it was the sheer size of the place or if the crowds gathered in one area and didn’t venture far from the main church, but I didn’t feel overwhelmed by tourists at the monastery.

Exiting over the Lions’ Bridge, we made our way to Sofia’s synagogue, then took shelter in the Central Market Hall until the mid-afternoon rain subsided. Feeling refreshed after an espresso, we walked a short distance to the small but welcoming Banya Bashi Mosque, then descended into the ancient Serdica complex. After a day’s journey, we were tired, so we headed back to the hotel and crashed.
